BTS Assistant Juridique

The BTS Legal assistant consists of courses in the following subjects:

Legal subjects (civil law, commercial law, criminal law, administrative law, tax law, commercial, criminal and administrative procedures)
Practical subjects (office automation, internal and external communication, professional terminology) ;
Technical and vocational subjects (compliance management, notarial techniques and drafting of legal documents).
Legal assistants will be able to find a job in law firms, bailiff’s and notary’s offices, as well as accounting and tax consultancies. Graduates of the Legal assistant program can also become active in the legal, human resources and social relations department of a company.

Graduates of the Legal assistant program will develop knowledge and skills in the following areas:

French, English, German, and Luxembourgish language skills
Information processing and communication techniques
Traditional duties and tasks of a legal assistant
Data protection
Essentials of civil, commercial, criminal and administrative law
Professional terminology and spelling
Basics in civil, commercial and criminal procedures
Basics of compliance management: « AML/CFT », « KYC » and « GDPR/RGPD »
Luxembourgish accounting framework and legal system
Various accounting and management software programs
Reception and customer service skills
Dealing with stressful situations
Organisational skills and management of day-to-day business
Observance of professional secrecy and of the code of conduct of the profession
