How to register for the 2025 / 2026 school year
To enroll your child at Vauban, École et Lycée Français de Luxembourg, for the 2025-2026 school year, follow the steps below:
Online pre-registration: From Monday 20 January 2025 at 2pm, you can access the pre-registration form on the official Vauban website. You will need to provide the following documents:
Copy of the child’s identity document;Copy of the family record book (parents’ and child’s pages) or birth certificate or any official document establishing filiation;The most recent report cards for the current year or any document proving current schooling; The transcript of marks for the Diplôme National du Brevet if applying for admission to the Seconde class;The transcript of marks for the early French exams if applying for admission to the Terminale class;Remedial documents (PAP, PAI, PPS) for the pupils concerned;From Grande Section : statement of skills.Parents will also have to express their motivation online on the application form.
Application fee: An application fee of €200 is required on enrolment. These fees are non-refundable.
Examination of applications: Complete applications will be examined by admissions committees on the following dates:
Wednesday 26 February 2025 (application to be submitted by 5pm on 21 February) ;
Wednesday 19 March 2025 (application to be submitted by 5pm on 14 March) ;
Wednesday 23 April 2025 (application to be submitted by 5pm on 18 April) ;
Tuesday 20 May 2025 (application to be submitted by 5pm on 16 May).
Admission tests: Pupils from a school system other than the French system recognised by the French education system will have to take admission tests. The test dates for the second level are as follows:
Tuesday 25 March 2025 (afternoon);Tuesday 6 May 2025 (afternoon);Tuesday 3 June 2025 (afternoon).For primary schools, the tests will be held as and when registrations are received, by invitation.
Notification of results: The results of the commissions will be communicated by e-mail one week after the deadline for submission of applications. If accepted, registration will be considered definitive once a deposit of €600 has been paid within eight days (non-refundable in the event of withdrawal) and the required supporting documents have been submitted.
